Personal Mission, Vision and Value Statements

As part of my Strategic Management module of the Business and Management Degree I am undertaking, I have been tasked to develop some personal statements for myself. This is something I have put a lot of thought into over the past 5 or so years and have had many iterations of my statements. As of today (29/09/19) my statements are as follows:

Mission

“To continuously improve myself and those around me through hard work, planning and the effective use of resource.  Be present in the moment in order to help my family, friends and colleagues achieve their best; acting as a mentor and role-model throughout. Achieve business success through teamwork, education and intelligence. Driving towards my goals and ambitions with a tenacious approach.”

Vision
"Being an effective business leader and visionary, leading thought in a modern arena. Using the position and social capital I have developed to create positive socioeconomic change throughout the world. Improving areas such as class inequality, unemployment and child poverty."

Values

"In everything that I do i will follow my own personal standards exhibiting integrity, honesty and passion for what it is that I am striving to achieve"

I have used a 'resource based' perspective to develop my mission statement. This is when, rather than looking at the market, the strengths of the individual (or organisation) are used as a basis to construct the mission.

My mission statement inspires me to achieve my mission. It also details what actions I will take to achieve the vision I have set. It also gives me the basis on which I intend to realise my vision.
